Creamy Vegetarian Cheese Sauce

Hello Everyone!

In today's post, I will be showing you how I make my vegetarian cheese sauce. I was diagnosed with having Migraines when I was sixteen. Since then, I have not been able to eat cheese freely. I had to cut cheese, along with other foods out of my diet due to these foods being major migraine triggers. I know I am not the only one who experience such dreadful headaches. Over time, I have learned how to substitute or avoid all together. However, through the years, I experimented with various recipes until I found one that was delicious and suitable for my palate.

Let's take a look at the recipe below!

Equipment needed:

Blender

Ingredients:

A half Pack of Tofu

1/3 cup of Sour cream

1 1/2 tsp. of vinegar

2 tbsp. of Nutritional yeast or bread crumbs

Half of an Onion

2 Cloves Garlic

1 tsp. Turmeric

1/4 tsp. Paprika

Dash of Cayenne pepper

1 tsp. Soy Sauce

1 tsp. Salt

1/2 Cup of water

Method:

Add all ingredients to the blender. Add the water and blend until smooth.

Place in refrigerator to set for 1 hour. Serve.

Things to Note:

  • The cheese can be flavored with any other suitable ingredients or herbs.

  • More nutritional yeast or bread crumbs can be added to thicken.

  • If the cheese sauce is too thick add a little more water.
