Mango Smoothie Bowl

Hello Everyone!

Hope everyone is staying safe during these times of uncertainty. Today's recipe is a simple smoothie bowl. Although there are not much hectic mornings ahead. I still prefer something quick, easy and nutritious. As an essential, healthcare worker, these types of foods are just what I need to get going in the morning. For this smoothie bowl, I added a mango. A fruit that is seasonal and a true delicacy of my home country.

Mangoes, for those who enjoy them are very delicious and most times juicy. They are also very beneficial to the body.

Researchers have found that mangoes can serve as a cancer fighting agent against the breast, colon, leukemia and prostate cancers. Mangoes are also a good source of vitamin A, vitamin B6 and vitamin C. Interestingly enough, the mango peel is also beneficial in that it is rich in antioxidants such as carotenoids and polyphenols.

Ingredients

1/2 cup of pineapple (frozen)

1 large banana (frozen)

1 mango (peeled and sliced)

1 apricot yogurt

1/2 cup of nut milk

Toppings

Handful of granola

Handful of blueberries

Process:

Place all fruit in the blender. Add yogurt and milk. Blend until completely smooth.

Enjoy!

Dannie
