Garden Salad

Hello Everyone!

Recently I have been turning to salads for a quick light alternative lunch. I never realized salads could be so good once you are creative with them. My preferences are usually a simple tossed salad or garden salad. This salad can complement your main meals and can easily fit in as an appetizer. This salad can be eating with any form of protein or simply alone. Try adding a salad with your meal every day, your body will thank you for it!

  3. It protects your heart - Romaine lettuce is known to have folate and fiber which protects the heart muscles.

Let us get into the recipe...



Recipe

3 cups of chopped romaine lettuce

1 1/2 cups of grape tomatoes (sliced in half)

1/2 red pepper (finely chopped)

3 small seasoning peppers ( sliced thinly, remove seeds)

2 cucumbers (diced)

3 tablespoons of lemon juice

3 tablespoons of canola or olive oil.

2 pinches of salt

1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon of all-purpose seasoning.


For Garnish

Dill leaves

Parsley


Add the chopped lettuce to a salad bowl. Add grape tomatoes, red peppers, seasoning pepper, and cucumber.

In a separate smaller bowl add lemon juice, oil, salt, black pepper, and all-purpose season. Mix together well with a spoon. Pour mixture over salad.

Mix all ingredients together. Make sure the oil mixture evenly covers the salad.


Garnish with dill leaves and parsley.
