Orange Mint Tea

Hello Everyone!


It's so good to be back sharing easy vegetarian recipes with you again!. It has been a journey these last few months and quite honestly, it has been hard to keep up. Since my last post, I have relocated and now I am pursuing my Master's degree in the field of Social Work. Although blogging and social work are two separate passions. I find that both of them fill a gap in my life like no other.


In today's post, I will be sharing one of the many tea recipes, I have been creating these last few months. The good thing about these tea recipes is that they are easy and would not interrupt your daily routine. The teas are also filled with plenty of nutrients and give the body a very needed energy boost. I know for those who are tea fans you will definitely enjoy this Orange Mint Tea recipe.



Before we get started let's take a look at how oranges benefit the body!

  1. Oranges assist in boosting the immune system, which helps to fight against viruses and bacteria.

  2. Oranges are a great source of fiber and also helps the body to absorb iron which is good for anemia.

  3. oranges defend the body against stress imbalances because they are filled with plenty of antioxidants.




Recipe

1 Medium Orange (sliced) do not remove the skin.

Two Bigelow Mint Melody Teabags (peppermint tea bags can be used)

Two cups of water


Equipment Needed

1 Medium-sized saucepan


How To

Place the saucepan on the stove on medium heat and let it come to a steady boil.

Add the two tea bags and let them brew for 5-7 mins.

Add the orange slices to the saucepan. Let the saucepan remain on the heat for 1 min then remove.

Let the tea remain in the saucepan for 7 mins or until the steam has simmered.

Pour in your favorite mug and enjoy!

No sugar was added to the tea. Honey can be used to sweeten instead of sugar.
